Hi Folks! This is Scott Geesey. co-host of Let’s Talk  with Jeff Byers weekday mornings from 8am to 10am on 98.7 The Fox in State College. And let’s get this party started with our brand new station website.

First, we hope you’re enjoying our programming on The Fox, from Let’s Talk in the morning to Goon and the Ironhead and other regional sports shows in the afternoon. And of course the Fox Sports programs the rest of the day and week. ESPN can make whatever claims they wish, but Fox Sports Radio is the best around with honest and entertaining commentary.

Ready for local winter sports? We’re about to launch our series of live high school basketball and wrestling play by play featuring all six Centre County HS teams: State College, Bellefonte, Penns Valley, Bald Eagle Area, Philipsburg-Osceola and St. Joseph’s. It’s an ambitious schedule and we’re thrilled to have local veterans Norm and Todd Brown joining our team to call a lot of those games. Each school is guaranteed at least two appearances on our airwaves this winter. Watch for a schedule of the action soon.

We’ll be launching our new weekly e-newsletter soon as well. The newsletter will have a lot of background information on the station, future programs and features, salutes to our valued sponsors, and maybe some occasional humor. You just have to laugh sometimes… 

Meanwhile here on the blog, we’ll be sharing opinions and views on, well, anything. And we’re looking forward to adding other elements such as recordings of recent shows or interviews, video features from our shows, and a lot more. “Unique” is a key word of ours – what can we offer here that you won’t find anywhere else?

As we’ve said from the start in mid August, we’re taking baby steps as we build 98.7 The Fox literally from the ground up. Little by little we’re creating something that we want to be proud of. And we’re thrilled to have you along for the ride!
